Alicia employs a client-centred approach to therapy, applying evidence-based treatment to suit the individual needs of her clients. She focusses on supporting her clients in working towards their goals, offering a flexible and tailored approach to treatment. Alicia’s strength lies in her ability to build rapport with her clients, acknowledging the importance of creating a safe space for healing.
Alicia is skilled across a range of different therapy modalities including Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). Her professional journey encompasses extensive experience working with diverse populations in various different settings including governmental agencies, academic institutions, rural and remote communities, as well as private practice settings.
In addition to her clinical practice, Alicia extends her impact through conducting professional development workshops as well as offering supervision to fellow psychologists and other allied health workers. She is deeply committed to fostering mental health awareness and education within her field.
Alicia completed her Bachelor of Psychological Science at the University of Queensland, graduating with First Class Honours, and her Masters of Clinical Psychology at Australian Catholic University. Alicia is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS) and Fellow of APS College of Clinical Psychologists (FCCLP). Alicia is also a registered supervisor with AHRPA.
