Michelle Carnell

Michelle is a generally registered Psychologist who sees children, adolescents and adults and has experience with both assessment and therapy.  She has a long-standing background in working with and educating adolescents.

Michelle has a caring and positive approach to therapy, and enjoys supporting clients in managing their social and emotional well-being, and providing therapy to meet their individual needs. Michelle utilises a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including cognitive-behavioural therapy, mindfulness practices and schema therapy and has a holistic approach to therapy.

Michelle completed her Bachelor of Science (Psychology) with Honours at the University of Southern Queensland, and her Master of Psychology (Clinical) at the Australian Catholic University. She is a fully registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

Michelle’s previous areas of psychological experience are in cognitive and behavioural assessment of children and adults, working within the healthcare system with clients diagnosed with a chronic illness, and providing a variety of evidence-based therapy to clients. She has a long-standing background in working with and educating adolescents.
